I was thinking about Thanksgiving, then turkey, then Turkey, and then I thought of that song. Interesting train of thought.
Thanksgiving break has officially started (it's only 2 extra days, keep your knickers on) and I am dismayed to find that I have homework (whether explicitly stated or implied) for almost every class. It really annoys me how the teachers are all telling us to "work on it over Thanksgiving," because obviously we have nothing else to do during this ridiculously long expanse of time. And they're sneaky about it too, e.g. "Don't worry, I'm not giving you homework over Thanksgiving, I'll just tell you what the assignment is now so you can get a head start," or "By the way you should have this done by Monday." How infuriating!

Anyway I need to stop complaining and start doing something productive.
The new Target GO International designer is Erin Fetherson, a finalist in the CFDA(Council of Fashion Designers of America)/Vogue Fashion Fund contest. However, the Target collections have been losing appeal for me--overall they are not well made and often just strange. I think the designers need to put in just a little more effort. If they can design gorgeous $400 dresses I think they can design a cute and well-made $24.99 dress for Target. From what I've seen on the website, some of the items are cute and fashionable, but I'll check in-store and write more in detail about it.
I don't really have anything to do, so I think I'll paint my nails or work on
my scrapbook or do something else equally frivolous.
yours frivolously,
geraldine
